Checking In...

Its been quite a Fall--one that could accurately be described as "rich, complex, heavy." Laughter, and anxiety, dealing with Major Life Issues, and minor ones, and Growing. By All That Is, I hope what I've been doing constitutes growing... Just lately, I've been studying the fine art of loving,(not the pulse-pounding, full-hormone-dump kind; that would be a subject for another post) and I'm impressed by how that process is unique to each individual. For some, its the way to freedom, and for others, a license to abuse. In this particular period of time, I live in the house of a beloved friend whose guiding word, the one she tries to live her life by, is "Respectful". It makes this a place where we work on harmony and healing. The ultimate goal is to make this finite time we have together one of growth and productivity for anyone who spends time here. It makes for interesting times. I tease her about her "Cannibal with the cooking pot" mode, and she comments on what a very private person I am. Its true. I AM a very private person. Because she respects that, and encourages my growth, I am willing to promise her my time and energy when she needs it. My hope is that during this particular period, I'll be able to give her enough of both to help her accomplish some of her goals. I am definitely accomplishing some of mine.
